As millions across the globe now know, Harold Camping's May 21, 2011 Judgment Day did not come to pass. Many on the net are calling that day "Apocalypse Not!" It seems like a joke or a sick prank, but to many people, this was a matter of life or death.
A lot of people foolishly put thier faith in a man rather than in God. Now there will be a great fallout from this Apocalypse-Not! Many people may renounce the faith and simply stop believing. Others will hold on to the religion for as long as they can. Christians everywhere may face ridicule and persecution because of the events of May 21, 2011. What can be done?
Christians everywhere should put off the foolishness of the past and repent. They should call out to God and beg him for his Holy Spirit to fill them up completely. It is through the power of God's Spirit that a believer can truly have a real relationship with God himself. With a relationship with God and his Christ through the Holy Spirit, the Saints of the Most High can see through the well crafted deception like the whole Camping debacle. They can be assured of an abundant life and the power to overcome all challenges.
These are the beginning of sorrows and believers need to be prepared. Harold Camping made the mistake (like many so-called intellectuals) of relying on his human intellect to predict something he had no right predicting rather than listen to God through his Holy Spirit. It is the Spirit that gives life, the human nature rewards nothing but pain and failure.
Harold Camping needs to repent and seek God's Spirit because of the trouble he has caused. Christ says that we are either gatherers or scatterers. His actions may as well scatter hundreds of thousands of believers to the four winds.
In conclusion, people need to seek God and God only. There are many things to stress about and the end of the world should bot be one of them. This debacle is merely a testament of the power of words and how destructive they can be when spoken by the wrong people.
